Ditto on everything, pumped exclusively for a while after breastfeeding didnt work, eventually some formula too. Its what works best for mom and baby and not what everyone else insists ( coming from the nurse who works at a very baby friendly hospital where formula is a bad word) :)kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04979383405495839947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-28955321403355590742012-04-09T18:54:27.927-07:002012-04-09T18:54:27.927-07:00I feel your pain, as I've had much more troubl...I feel your pain, as I've had much more trouble with my supply this time as well. As moms, we do what we can and the rest usually finds a way of working out just fine.

For what it's worth, I often enjoyed a beer during an evening pumping session. It was just enough to relax me and help with production. The professionals I spoke to weren't concerned about alcohol in the breast milk. Any that got through was negligible and probably just helped the girls sleep, too. ;-)Jennifer Phelpshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16680853455559603808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-51568302146403785502011-06-23T17:27:36.217-07:002011-06-23T17:27:36.217-07:00Love it!Love it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-40401317561517630712011-03-23T18:05:03.146-07:002011-03-23T18:05:03.146-07:00Lovely!Lovely!MamaKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11081470701869987222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-87309327853188325842011-03-14T17:01:33.947-07:002011-03-14T17:01:33.947-07:00OMG Michele....so glad she was ok! We're still grasping (literally) to small amounts we can feed her just to make it out of mealtime in this millennium.
Abbie- we actually don't eat together - mostly because it's a full focus to feed Sophia and we don't end up eating till 8 or 9pm after she is long asleep. Eventually, I suppose, we'll eat as a full family, but with work schedules, etc, it's tough. It's actually his favorite game where he crawls over to the cat's bowl (that we accidentally left down a minute after the cats have finished eating) and pretends to put his little fingers in to grab some kibble. Thing is, sometimes he just does this to get our attention and he'll turn to see if we're watching him and give us his big mischievous grin and we say "NO" and then he'll back away. But *other* times he'll grab a handful and shovel them right in. And as you said, "crunch, crunch, crunch" There's some salty protein for ya - SO delicious! :-)Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17041085890215949120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-62643211359306929492010-11-11T06:09:11.423-08:002010-11-11T06:09:11.423-08:00Love the all-walking picture - fabulous!Love the all-walking picture - fabulous!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-70143279489914460352010-11-09T04:06:55.016-08:002010-11-09T04:06:55.016-08:00Congrats, Michele--to both you & Dave! Especially for a nice afternoon nap for baby and mommy :)
I'd also add babywearing as a great sleep help. William can fall asleep anywhere in the Ergo! The close physical contact and body motion (similar to being in the womb) are so soothing for babies....We used a Sleepywrap when he was a newborn, and a Maya ring sling from about 3-6 months.
Great list of sleep advice Michele!MamaKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11081470701869987222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3942980783955016630.post-10378516373844621052010-07-29T15:13:32.856-07:002010-07-29T15:13:32.856-07:00We're all about the co-sleeping.
